Book now to avoid that last minute festive rush
Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat… what? Too early? Are you sure?
Okay I know it’s only mid-October but if you want to make sure that your christmas party is securely booked and that you get your first choice then now is the time to get in there and make that booking. Leave it mush longer and you may well find that your first choice is full, your second choice cannot do the date you want and in the end you are left with a choice between a take-away or a sad carvery – surely no one wants to be eating lukewarm turkey pulling a cheap cracker and wearing a pathetic tissue party hat!
If you think that I’m over egging the Christmas pudding then you should be aware that the best restaurants have probably been planning their festive offerings since July, they take it that seriously! And we know for fact that some of them have already taken bookings, yes bookings made back in September!
So this week we have a selection of the city’s most popular dining and party venues and their christmas offerings, a wide variety of offerings at a wide variety of prices.
One of my favourite places, Breeze, is out there with a great selection of Christmas and party offerings. I know it’s good because Team Latest have celebrated the festive season there and had a brilliant and delicious time, enjoying the excellent and generous food and relaxed atmosphere. Breeze have two different menus, one for Christmas Party bookings which is available from 1st – 24th December. They are open on Christmas Day with last orders at 3pm and it’s booking fast!
The best restaurants have been planning their festive offerings since July
The Restaurant at Drakes, Brighton’s stylish seafront hotel, has a stunning festive menu. Drakes is offering an excellent 3 course fine dining Christmas Party Menu for a very reasonable £40 per person. To add that extra special touch to your event, The Private Dining Room is available for parties of 6 to 12 people. There is no hire charge for reserving this room, which makes it all the more appealing. But be sure to book soon as dates fill quickly in December!
Brighton favourites Donatello and Pinocchio never fail to please and over the years they have established themselves as the city’s most popular family restaurants, the ideal place for parties of all sizes all year round and especially at Christmas when their fabulous seasonal decorations alone draw crowds. This year their Christmas menus are a bargain £17.50 for three delicious courses that include plenty Italian favourites including a turkey pizzaiola. Or why not splash out and enjoy their VIP menu at £22.50 to include an aperitivo, olives, coffee and amaretti biscuits go on splash out!
Of course Christmas parties do not have to be all turkey and stuffing, stuff that! Curry Leaf Cafe has been making waves on the city’s restaurant scene for some time and their fabulous and authentic Indian cuisine is delicious and fun, and their relaxed reataurant is an ideal venue for a party. Executive chef Kanthi Thamma and his team have conjured an exciting and well priced festive menu that is guaranteed to tantalise the taste buds and excite those of us who dread the onset of turkey in any form.
This Christmas OHSO Social is going back to the roots of a traditional festive Christmas. They are transforming into a warming festive winter paradise with their decor and entertainment. OHSO Social offers a perfect location for Brighton Christmas parties, right on the beach front and you can expect a fully-themed snug winter paradise to create that perfect Christmas party setting. Guests will be welcomed with a heavenly warm winter Pimms, then you can enjoy a delicious three-course meal or ample festive buffet accompanied by their vocalist singing jazzed-up festive classics and contemporary numbers too.
