British Airways i360: Blue sky thinking
Children absolutely love the British Airways i360 pod. It is 10 times the size of a London Eye capsule and families are free to walk around or sit at their leisure to enjoy the 360-degree views of Sussex, pointing out landmarks, ships out at sea and birds flying past.
This week the team sent a free ticket to every child currently attending a state primary school, secondary school or sixth form college in Brighton and Hove. That’s 35,000 children aged 4 to 18 years across 73 schools.
We are very excited to be offering schools the chance to move their classrooms to the skies and engage children with the pioneering engineering and design that place this landmark attraction at the forefront of British architecture.

Each school can decide whether to use their tickets for school trips or to give them to students to use in their own time. The vouchers can be exchanged for tickets at the British Airways i360 ticket office on Kings Road and are valid for use any time until July 25th 2017.
As children glide gently up to 138m, we hope they will be inspired by what’s possible when you challenge the status quo and aim high.
We are also busy developing school curriculum materials for Key Stages 1 to 4, which will be available in the New Year.
