SkyFall: Back with a Spring

skyfall-2

All new menu, new team, new logo & even new chairs at the reimagined SkyFall Hove

Burgers. Steaks. Beers. Shakes. SkyFall, located in the heart of Hove, re-launches this month with a more relaxed, friendly restaurant feel following a small refurbishment.

Spring is in the air and there really is no better time for a fresh perspective and new beginning. As they say, the only constant is change. This stylish yet cosy restaurant on Church Road has become a firm favourite since they opened their doors in 2015. Grateful for the loyal customers they have gained over the last two years, SkyFall has reimagined its vision in order to appeal to a larger audience and ultimately become the neighbourhood restaurant – a place you can hang out no matter what the occasion is and have fun while enjoying good food made the way you like it.

While a few things have changed (all new menu, the team, the logo and even the chairs), SkyFall hasn’t changed its ethos: great, fresh and creative food. The menu has been created by newly appointed head chef Adam Osgood and is inspired by food that you want to eat when you’re at your happiest. Diverse yet not overwhelming, the new menu is jam-packed with mouth-watering burgers, juicy steaks, starters that are perfect to share and salads that are sure to bring you that summer feeling.

New dishes include starters like nachos, crispy calamari, baked camembert and chicken wings, to handcrafted burgers accompanied by the perfect sides such as sweet potato fries and hand-battered onion rings, to steaks and ribs that will go down like a dream paired with a local, Brighton beer.

For those who aren’t afraid of a challenge, The SkyFall Burger needs to be added to your burger bucket list immediately: two 8oz homemade 100% beef burgers, two giant hand-battered onion rings, melted Monterey Jack cheese, back bacon, tomato, baby gem and a garlic mayo that is to die for. When you think it couldn’t get any better, they’ve also introduced a range of gourmet milkshakes that will fix just about anything: heartbreak, stress, hangovers – SkyFall has your back. Toffee Crisp, Oreo Crunch, KitKat, Snickers… these are just a few of the shakes on offer and with summer just around the corner, how could you resist? To put it simply, SkyFall’s new menu is comfort food at its best.

Talking of comfort, The Big Sunday Roast is the perfect way to end off the week. Sundays are all about sitting down with family and friends to a big meal of crispy golden roasties, fresh slices of beef smothered in gravy, and fluffy Yorkshire puddings just the way Gran used to make them. It’s a tradition that stretches all the way back to 15th century Britain.

And while we know there’s nothing that can beat Gran’s Sunday lunch, you can be assured that SkyFall’s will be made with the same amount of love and will taste just as good. Plus, it’s not called The Big Sunday Roast for nothing. One can expect a plate loaded with either tender beef, pork belly, succulent chicken or a weekly vegetarian option, all served with golden roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, cauliflower cheese, homemade Yorkshire pudding and of course, lots of piping hot gravy.

Wherever possible, local produce and ingredients will be used with a focus on supporting local suppliers such as Brighton Gin, Gun Brewery, Seriously Real Ice Cream and Brighton Bier Co. SkyFall’s passion for community is also evident in their continuous support of local charities such as Sussex Beacon, Raystede Centre for animal welfare and Sussex Wildlife. They will continue to raise money through their Charity Quiz Night that happens on selected Wednesdays of each month.

To keep you entertained, SkyFall have incorporated a few more events and specials that will happen throughout the week. On Tuesdays, one can enjoy two burgers and two sides for £20, open mic night will happen every Thursday and on Fridays, grab your friends and enjoy an evening of live music in the bar area upstairs.

If you’re looking for a place to celebrate in style then SkyFall is also the ideal venue for your next event, function or party, offering a versatile space to accommodate your guests, with flexible and creative dining options that can be tailored to your needs. The young and vibrant SkyFall team will make sure your event goes off without a hitch. With a focus on delivering an experience that will be memorable, unique and above all fun, you’ll leave with a full belly and a happy heart.

If you’re already a fan, you’ll love the new SkyFall and if you have yet to try them, book a table as soon as you can, you won’t be disappointed! With an abundance of choice combined with a prime location, this intimate restaurant is the perfect escape from the bustle of the city and offers something for everyone – a place where you can sit back, relax and make yourself at home. Church Road just got a lot more exciting.
