Terrace clean up needs your help

One iconic seafront location is getting a lot of attention this summer, but that still might not be enough.

The crowdfunding campaign to save the madeira terraces launched last month and since then has raised £144,000.

The target is £430,000, and they’ve got 102 days left to raise it in.

The Arches play a large role in Brighton’s history, but decades of neglect has resulted in the decline of the area.

So to help with the camping, a clean up of the Arches has been organised for this coming Friday and Sunday

The team is meeting at the base of the zipwire at 11am, and will be cleaning the terraces through most of the day.

Cleaning equipment will be provided to help restore the arches to the iconic seafront setting they used to be.

This project really needs volunteers for success.

The event ran last year as many residents in the area are determined to play their role in cleaning up the terrace.
