Sussex’s rural schools need more funding

Since the election MP’s across the countries constituencies have been able to devote more time to local issues.

With campaigning no longer taking up the majority of their time, MPs like Lewes’ Maria Caulfield are focusing on the most urgent needs.

And she says that the rural schools within her region are those hit the hardest.

Schools on the coast recently received a boost, but she finds that those in Lewes and further west need more help.

After meeting with teachers she learned that they are struggling to plan for the future due to the lack of funding.
