Paul Weller

It’s baffling that Paul Weller still hasn’t made the jump to being held in full ‘national treasure’ status – The range, variety and quality of his back-catalogue, on full display here, is nothing short of stunning, and few performers can claim to have not lost any of their energy or vocal abilities just months before their 60th birthday. Maybe his clear desire to remain relevant is the roadblock – His 31 song set contained a large selection from recent, less successful albums, but that didn’t detract from the joy of seeing a legend blissfully unaffected by the passage of time.
