Dara O Briain is a master of the gab. Creating an intimate space in the impressive Dome’s concert hall, he makes this show both delightfully and domestically personal whilst at the same time universally recognisable. You don’t need to have had the builders in to recognise his relationship with his remodellers. Deftly weaving callbacks into place, passionate glee and frustration in his punchlines, and a soft charm gloving rock-hard comedic timing, O Briain may be next to Brian Cox on a regular basis but his middle age hypochondria and genuine geek credentials strip any distance success may have tried to insert.
