Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra, Christian Garrick & Friends

Strings ain’t what they used to be! The versatile strings of the Brighton Philharmonic know exactly what to do when taking the audience for a ride out of their comfort zone. They only go with the very best. A programme starting with work by Astor Piazzolla is bound to be exciting and very different from the usual fare. Christian Garrick and his friends brought extraordinary virtuoso talent and technique to the Dome’s Sunday afternoon. It warmed and cheered us up in equal measure.
The second ever performance of the Violin Concerto by John Dankworth was very well received and will no doubt be programmed whenever the players are available.
