St John’s gives students tools to succeed

Autism awareness week began yesterday and Matthew Enderby caught up with the good folk at St.John’s Autistic School and College to find out what they’re up to.

St. John’s is a non-maintained independent specialist school and independent specialist college, working with learners who have complex learning disabilities. This includes learners who may have difficulties resulting from behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, Autism Spectrum Conditions, various chromosomal syndromes, and a wide range of other difficulties that impact on their learning. Their committed staff have high expectations for learners, helping them to achieve outstanding success in their learning and preparation for their young adult lives. Learners can work with us on a residential, day, full or part time basis, in partnership with other providers, or on a sessional or outreach basis.
