On Wednesday, Jordan ‘Rizzle’ Stephens from Rizzle Kicks performed his new track ‘Whole’ live for the very first time onboard the BA i360 pod for the “#IAMWHOLE” NHS campaign, ahead of the launch of a new anti-stigma mental health campaign by the local NHS. The pod was packed with an excited audience of young people, the press, bloggers and the Mayor of Brighton and Hove, Cllr Pete West.

On Thursday we wished the Grand Old Lady 150 years old. The event was celebrated by illuminating the West Pier and with a flight on board the BA i360, a ‘vertical pier’ for members of the West Pier Trust.

The anniversary will also be marked by a series of talks in our event rooms starting with one by the BA i360 architects, David Marks and Julia Barfield. I was also a speaker that day at the Visitor Attraction conference in London along with Luke Johnston, owner of Brighton Palace Pier.

On Friday, we hosted the P.E.A. (People. Environment. Achievement.) Awards, which is the UK’s leading sustainability awards, honouring ‘green heroes’ who are changing the face of our planet. Guests enjoyed a sunset or night flight followed by a vegan banquet and entertainment in our beach building.
